Just bought your app. Downloaded it to computer first; mistake. When I went to put it on iPhone, got message that phone didn’t have software needed. I have 3.1.3; according to your info at iTunes store, that should work. What’s up?

It would be nice if there was a feature that’ll allow for pop-up alerts for disasters in your area. Being from Southern California, I’d like to see earthquake info immediately (push notification) on my phone towards the tail end or soon after it strikes.
If you can find a way to predict earthquakes, that’ll be great!
ha
nice app.

Got the app from Ovi Store (http://store.ovi.com/content/36769?clickSource=search) for my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and I’d say that this app rocks! The brief firsthand information you get right here, right now in your hands is very vital. I like the way the app works. Hope you have plans to make the same for tsunamis, biohazards or fires.
Thank you for this very useful app.

Problem: application does not connect, consequently no information. Is this because I installed the free version? Certainly, if the free one does not work well there is no point buying the other one! Regards Lucy

From where the data comes from? how accurate are? Can i change the source of the data?
Thanks.
Nov 14, 2010 @ 10:37:40
I use feeds data from http://www.earthquake.usgs.gov and http://www.gdacs.org . And you can’t change source data. I think http://www.earthquake.usgs.gov have earthquake data around in the world. And http://www.gdacs.org have a best alert level for disasters. You can read more info from this “http://www.gdacs.org/about/alertlevels.asp”. If you have source data for better or interest. send it to me. I will review it with next version.
A good news. iEarthquakes have update version coming soon.
Thank you for use my app.

Hi there, it’s an okay app, but push notifications arn’t showing. GDACS intergration needs to be implemented better as I have never recieved a push notification via your app but from GDACS i have recieved many texts of alerts. Push notifications need to show up from ALL alerts issued from GDACS, with the user selecting which alert level (Green Orange or Red) they wish to recieve. The menu and splash screen might benefit from a redesign as well, and iphone 4 support for retina display needs to be added. Lots of work to do to make this app better but hopefully you will release an update soon to fix all these problems.
Thanks.

Hi Craig,
- push notifications arn’t showing.
– You can open iEarthquakes for update data to Server because from time ago Amazon server (EC2) have problem. Now it work for push notification.
- and iphone 4 support for retina display needs to be added
– I will update it and add new feature with iEarthquakes in next version.
Thank you for using iEarthquakes and feedback,
